Some Info about ANNA:

Where and when were you born?
I was born October 27th 1986 in Kiev, Ukraine

What is your profession?
I was an orphan so had no opportunity to get an education. I learned two languages by myself. Now I am working as a fitness model, sports model, doing my personal sporting show all over the world and since 2012 began my Career as an actress

Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training?
Once a friend got involved with a Satanist sect. I wanted to help and invited him to my Church. And in return I gave him my word that I would go with him to his gym, and I knew it was for me! I started with powerlifting. I was short of money at that time, and I did not gain much muscular weight, as I only ate potatoes and onions. God was my genius trainer - not that God was my actual trainer, but God gave me a trainer. Even on such "fuel" my biceps grew to 35 cm, and my record deadlift was 260 kg at a bodyweight of 48 kg, which was more than five times my bodyweight. Nobody else on earth, man or woman can boast such an achievement! T hen my financial position improved a little, and I began to eat sports food. My muscular weight started to increase. At this time my portfolio was put up on some Ukrainian sites and I was invited to the World Bodybuilding Championships by one of the federations. I have explained that I was never involved in any other kind of sports. I was doing sports by that time, as a kid I was a sports master on gymnastics at the age 8 to 11 years old, then got green belt on karate at the age 12 to 14 years old, but never even competed in local bodybuilding championships, let alone international competitions. But I realize that a girl with muscles like these should take part in international tournaments. In November 2007 I was invited to compete in the arm-wrestling championships in St.-Petersburg, and then in 2008 in the power multi-athlon

Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body?
As I already wrote earlier I got really strong, but in order to improve, food became a major factor. I aspire to be the best in all I do. For me there’s no 2nd place, only first. It’s because for me, unlike for other sports people, achievements are everything. Sport is my work, family, and meaning of life. Everything. I have sacrificed other parts of my life or personal comfort and everything else for bigger sports achievements. That’s what makes me different from all other sports people in the world!!!

Can you give me your competition history?
2006 Ukraine Armwrestling Championship, The Mixed Pairs Absolute Champion
2007- 9th place World Bodybuilding Championship (got to final)
3rd at St. Petersburg Armwrestling Championship
5th place World Bodybuilding Championship
2008– absolute world record in deadlift – 305 kg
Ukraine Bench Press Record – 145 kg
2009 -2012 -improving my sports results, lifts, gaining much more muscles

Which contest has been your biggest success; which has had the most meaning for you?
I think my first world bodybuilding championship. In fact, just to participate for the first time in one’s life in such competitions is really something, and to finish among the ten best in the World Championship is bit of a dream, but it came true. But my biggest successes are still in front of me.

Please tell me something about your training routine (ie: how many days per week / training split /cardio, etc.)
It depends on the training period - from 2 up to 5 training sessions a week, duration of 3-8 hours each!! This is my trainer’s idea of personal development!

What is your favorite exercise in the gym and which one you don’t like so much?
I love all kinds of presses. All exercises on biceps, and on delts, deadlift. I don’t like squat with the bar on my shoulders

Which body part is your best in your opinion?
Forward delts, traps, biceps, lats.

If you don’t mind would you give me some stats (best lifts and some body measurements)?
Squat: 460 lbs / 210 kg
Deadlift 670 lbs / 305 kg
Curls 205 ibs / 93kg
Benchpress 425 lbs / 193 kg
Biceps 47 cm / 18.5”
Lat spread 127 cm / 50”

Thighs 74cm / 29”

What do you enjoy about training for competition....what do you enjoy about the 'off season'?
Being a sanguine person by nature, it’s nice to have a quiet time and do some precise planning. I love to eat a lot, and feel the muscular growth. I love to be big and strong. When training for competitions, I like to work that energy off through aerobics, which I don’t have time for in the off-season.

Please describe a typical day in the life of Anna Mikhaylenko.
I have no typical days. The only rules, which are carved in stone, are 10 hours’ sleep a night and 5-6 meals a day!!! (((((5 -6 small meals a day))))

Please tell me about what you do when you don’t work out (hobbies, what do you do to relax?, etc.)
First, I do not break any rules regarding rest and recovery. I don’t go to out or go to parties. I like movies, to learn from actors how to act. I like reading books. I like animals - I feed street animals and try to take care of them. I like to eat in cosy restaurants with friends and drink cups of good tea. I like to participate in various TV shows, act in films and movies. I like to consider over the Biblical verses, consider over supernatural things and events. I like travelling and learning new cultures from various nations. I like to rest at the seaside and on the ocean shore, to swim, to observe different seasons of nature and consider about my life and various things which are in my mind. And I like my job very much!

What do you enjoy most about the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle?
The clarity of rules and the constant control over progress, as well as accountability and  responsibility.

Tell me something interesting about yourself, something people may be surprised to hear.
I write poetry in 4 languages, and I’m still a very gentle and vulnerable person. I was declared clinically dead when studying in the last grade of the school. I have also been in a lot of different situations when my life was at a huge risk. Soon there will be a documentary about my life and it’s going to touch your heart very deeply!

What are your competition goals or personal future goals?
I wish to take part in Ms. Olympia, and dream that one day I will win that title. I’m Iooking for sponsors to help me through my preparations. My trainer knows exactly what to do but our current financial resources don’t allow us to achieve what we’re fully capable of. However, we have achieved some amazing results. Now I am earning money as a model but still need help from sponsors.

My trainer and I would just like to say that we are deeply disgusted by the fact that the western stars, who are able to invest thousands of dollars in their training and preparation, achieve such poor results.  They break rules and behave unsportingly. I would like to show the world the meaning of the word ‘purposefulness’.

Anna is also available for modeling.
