Where and when were you born? Memphis TN, Dec 16, 1961 What is your profession? Personal Trainer Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training? I did aerobics, but always wanted to lift weights. A local bodybuilder in MS. was well know for training female bodybuilders. When he stopped laughing, he agreed to train me. This was in 1989,and I couldn’t wait to compete. It would be 2 years before he would let me step on stage. Can you give me your competition history? 1991 Lightweight and Overall Memphis Bodybuilding Championships 1992 Lightweight and Overall Big River Championships 1992 2nd Place Lightweight Southern Classic 2006 Lightweight and Overall Vulcan Classic 2006 Lightweight and Overall Southern Classic 2007 1st Place Middleweight Jr. Nationals Which contest has been your biggest success; which has had the most meaning to you? Going back to the Southern Classic after 14 years was truly a high light, but the night I step out on the stage in Chicago at the Jr. Nationals a dream of mine was fulfilled! Please tell me something about your training routine (ie: how many days per week / training split /cardio, etc.) I train 6 days a week, usually 1 body part per day. Cardio 3 times a week in the off season, six days a week for contest. Which body part is your best in your opinion? Legs If you don’t mind would you give me some stats (best lifts and some body measurements)? 5-1 125# contest / 155# off season Chest 40 Waist 25 Legs 24 Arms 15 Bench 275 x 3 Squat 315 x 5 What do you enjoy about training for competition....what do you enjoy about the 'off season'? Nothing about competition training except how I look. I enjoy the off season because I can eat and train heavy. Please describe a typical day in the life of Wanda Moore. I see clients from 7am till 1pm, I take a break, workout and start back working at 3 pm till 7. After that I work on my website and do web chat . Please tell me about what you do when you don’t work out ( hobbies, what do you do to relax?, etc.) Don’t get much time to relax,LOL but love to travel and spend time with friends and family. What do you enjoy most about the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle? I never wanted to blend in with the crowd, being a bodybuilder you never do. I love my fans, FBB fans are the best. Tell me something interesting about yourself, something people may be surprised to hear. I started back training hard when my youngest daughter was getting married and I didn’t want to look at myself in pictures being out of shape. It gave me back the drive to set a goal and to compete again. I wanted my clients to understand no matter their age, or level of fitness they could set goals, and achieve them. What are your competition goals or personal future goals? I well be putting on size and competing at the Nationals in Nov. 08 Wanda lives in Mississippi and enjoys its changing seasons; whether the warmth of the sun in June or it's chilly Novembers! Future plans for the rest of 2009 and into 2010 include competing and a lot of fun traveling to meet friends and fans across the world! |
