Welcome to the Profile Page of the very beautiful, attractive and muscular 2008 Jr. Nationals Middleweight Champion HEATHER BAYER! (all pictures are used by Heather's permission) Some Info about HAETHER: Where and when were you born? January 8, 1975 in Paderborn, Germany What is your profession? Administrative Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training? I played soccer and volleyball in high school. I didn’t start weight training until I was almost 25 years old. I had moved to Virginia and met Yaz Boyum. I knew I wanted to put on muscle and the rest is history. Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body? It took me quite a few years to get the nerve up to do a bodybuilding show. I didn’t have the desire to do a show until I got Lyme Disease in 2001 which had me on crutches for a couple of months. I knew that when I was able to get back to the gym I would train to do a show. Can you give me your competition history? 2002 – NGA Potomac Cup – 1st place novice and best poser 2004 – NPC Northern Virginia Bodybuilding Championship – 2nd Place 2007 – NPC Missouri State Bodybuilding Championship – 1st Place Novice, 1st Place Middleweight, Overall, and Best Poser. 2007 – Caveman Classic – 1st Place lightweight and Overall Which contest has been your biggest success; which has had the most meaning to you? I would have to say the very first show I did in 2002, the NGA Potomac Cup. It meant a lot to me after going through the whole Lyme Disease ordeal and able to place 1st place in my first show. Please tell me something about your training routine (ie: how many days per week / training split /cardio, etc.) I do an hour a cardio a day with a 3 day on, I day off workoug schedule. What is your favorite exercise in the gym and which one you don’t like so much? My favourite exercise has to be the leg press machine and the one that I don’t particularly like is bench press. Which body part is your best in your opinion? My deltoids. If you don’t mind would you give me some stats (best lifts and some body measurements). My personal would have to be 45 lb dumbbell curls, my biceps are at 14 inches and hopefully growing. What do you enjoy about training for competition....what do you enjoy about the 'off season'? I love seeing my body change because I am always about 30 lbs different from my off season weight and my contest weight. And of course I love eating good stuff in the off season! Please describe a typical day in the life of Heather Bayer. Its not very exciting. I work an office job from 8-5pm and then from there come home and its off to the gym. Please tell me about what you do when you don’t work out ( hobbies, what do you do to relax, etc.) When not working out I love to spend time with my husband and my pets. What do you enjoy most about the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle? The results! Tell me something interesting about yourself, something people may be surprised to hear. I love to paint What are your competition goals or personal future goals? The only goal as of right now is competing in the 2008 Jr. Nationals. Please note: Heather does not do sessions or wrestling of any kind.
