Some Info about KAREN:

Where and when were you born? I was born in France January 25 1966

What is your profession? I am personal trainer, fitness and musculation instructor since 1990

What kind of activities/sports did you do before you started lifting weights? I was skiing since 3 years old to 13 and dance classic and modern since 5 years old to 16

How and when did you get involved into lifting weights? A culturist friend of me would like me to do bodybuilding. First time he said to me to come in his gym to dance courses. And I fall in love with bodybuilding.

Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body? At the first time I enjoy training without thinking to compete. Now I love so much compete! My trainings are harder because I compete and that’s what I like.

What was your first competition and how did you place? My first competition we where 12 girls. It was a big price and I was very stress. I was very proud to be the winner!

And which contest has been the biggest success for you yet? My bigger success is to be the body building World Champion on WPF in November 2003 in Rome and to be a professional WPF athlete wining the Professional price WPF and Weider

Could you please add a history of all contests that you have entered so far? World Champion Body Building WPF in 2003 (Italy)
Miss Univers WPF in 2003 (France)
Miss Univers WFF in 2008 (Germany)
Miss Unvers IBFA in 2009 (Italy)

Please describe a typical day in the life of Karen Felix. When I was the World champion I cried for 10 minutes thinking of 15 years of hard training that I had gone through.

Please tell me something about your daily training routine. I usually do my best each time I am in a gym. But I never know what I am going to do before begin to train. It depends of my body.

How often do you train in a week? I train one hour and a half or two hours 5 days a week. I have 15 or 20 fitness classes a week. It’s very hard for articulations and recuperation.

What are the main differences when you train for a competition and in off-season? There is no difference in my training. I just eat less in competition.

If you don’t mind would you give me some stats (best lifts and some body measurements)? I never measure my body. I look it in the mirror... My weight in and out competition is 62Kilo and I am 1m 58cm.

Which body part is your best in your opinion? My back and my glutes. My hair too ( laugh...)

What is your favorite exercise in the gym and which one you don’t like so much? If I am not tired all the exercises are my favorite. Enough I am fond of abdominaux.

Judging in Women’s Bodybuilding has always been criticized in one or the other way. Please tell me your honest thoughts about today’s judging in Women’s Bodybuilding. I think a woman can be big but without the same criteria of male competitor. It’s the reason why I love Juliet Bergman, she is big with a soft muscle (not to hard).

Please tell me about what else you are doing when you don’t work out (profession, hobbies, etc.) I sleep!

Please note:

Karen does not do sessions or wrestling of any kind. Please don't ask!!
