Some Info about SHERRY:

Where and when were you born? Coos Bay oregon 10-14-74

What is your profession? Personal Training and nutritional consulting

Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training? As a kid I always loved working out especially with my twin sis Sheila. I wasn't big on team sports in high school but you would always find me working out in the gym. I was in and out of the fase until I was 19 yrs old. At 19 I started boxing at a gym called Hard Knox boxing in Eugene Or. and was registered with USA amatuer boxing association. I was in the welter weight division. I competed and teached boxing til I was 25yrs old. Due to personal reasons and lack of fights I hung up the gloves and back to the weight training.

Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body? Competing was always a goal once I got back into it. I had a different goal in mind for myself. I wanted to do everything natural as Sheila and I have great genetics and having her by my side was a blessing. We trained hard for 3 yrs before we felt I was ready.

Can you give me your competition history? My first competition was at the Iron Spirit Natural Pro/Am held in Washougal Wa 2004. I won the heavy weight division and earned the overall. 2005 Oregon State Championships palced 2nd
2007 Seven Feathers National Qualifier 1st place and overall

Which contest has been your biggest success; which has had the most meaning to you? My first show I thought was my biggest success. I was more dialed here than at any other show. Plus being it my first I did not realize that I could reach this kind of leaness especially naturally. Having my sis guide me all the way through gave me so much courage and confidence.

Please tell me something about your training routine. I love training no matter if I am competing or not. I train with weights at least 5 days a week and do cardio every day. I love to sweat and keep my endurance. On off season i do alot of circuit style training and running. I still hit the bag and do mit work. When getting ready for a show its all weights and cardio. Monday: Chest, abs, cardio, Tuesday cardio, Wed.: Back, hams, cardio, Thurs: Biceps, Triceps, Abs cardio, Friday: Shoulders, calves, cardio; Sat: cardio Sun: Legs and abs cardio. i always fit in stretching. Gotta keep up the flexibility!

What is your favorite exercise in the gym and which one you don’t like so much? My favoirte exercise would have to be my back. I love pull-ups. Especially when the load gets lighter if you know what i mean LOL. i really don't like doing my biceps. BORING! It was my strentgh growing up so did them all the time.

Which body part is your best in your opinion? My best body part is my back. It is very detailed and stays lean all year round. My worst part is my abs! You won't see them until about 2-3 weeks out from show. Other than that I have a great 4 pack. LOL

If you don’t mind would you give me some stats (best lifts and some body measurements)? I don't have best lifts and no measurements of my body parts that i want to list here. Nothing to brag about. I am really big on how fast I can run and for how long, push-ups pull ups ect. I love endurance and being agile. that makes a good athlete. It keeps things exciting for me and intense.

What do you enjoy about training for competition....what do you enjoy about the 'off season'? Well I love being so stuctured and you feel so healthy and clean. You get rid of all the toxins in your body and you see physically all your hard work. Seeing the vascularity is my favorite part of the process and of course getting rid of the belly fat hiding your beautiflul waist line

Please tell me about what you do when you don’t work out ( hobbies, what do you do to relax?, etc.) I keep myself pretty busy on the off season. Other than working I try to spend more quality time with my boyfriend Brian and see family. I do alot of art projects. Yes I love arts and crafts.

What do you enjoy most about the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle? What I enjoy most about my bodybuilding life style, is the personal challenges in it. always striving to be better. The discipline keeps you mentally and physically strong. You live by structuring everything, sleeping, eating , and training. man when I fall out of structure I feel it and can't wait to get back to it. You just feel better.

What are your competition goals or personal future goals? I have a raelly good coach now. He trained me for the Seven feathers. His name is Nole Fuller. We have plans for the Oregon State Championships 2008. Depending on how I look and how well I do at the show he wants to have me compete at the Emerald Cup. makes me vervous. But he is real confident and very motivating to me.

Please note:

Sherry does not not do sessions or wrestling of any kind. Please don't ask!!
