Some Info about TERRI & TIFFANY:

Where and when were you born?
Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada.

What is your profession?
Teacher(s)

Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to figure and how did you get started with weight training?
We both played soccer, volleyball, and track and field throughout Jr. High and High School. We were naturally very athletic. The first time we ever went to a gym was in grade eight. We both skipped school with our best friend at the time. We were 13 years old. We both trained arms and we remember we could see changes from one work out. Sounds crazy but growing up we were known for our biceps.
In gym class throughout Jr. High we were not allowed on the same team because we would double team everyone. It was not very fair to the other girls.
In High School we took gym as well. We found it a lot better. The boys were at our level. A lot of the guys took a while to play with us…but when they realized we were as good as them we made tons of friends. Even when we go home the boys still mention how they remember us from gym class. We were the only girls out of a class of about 40 boys.

Was it a goal for you to compete in figure competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body?
We both knew we wanted to compete at a very early age…around the age of eight. We would both look at our brother’s magazines and told each other we were going to do it.

Can you give me your competition history?
Alberta Provincial Bodybuilding & Figure June 2007
1st place, Overall, and 2nd place
We will be competing again this June at the same event and will hopefully place top five and compete at the CBBF Nationals in August 2008 for our pro status.

Which contest has been your biggest success; which has had the most meaning to you?
Our very first show of course!! It was so scary but exhilarating at the same time.

Please tell me something about your training routine (ie: how many days per week / training split /cardio, etc.)
We train six days a week. We take Thursdays off. We train each body part separately, and do 30-45 minutes of cardio after our weights.

What is your favorite exercise in the gym and which one you don’t like so much?
We enjoy shoulder press the most. We would have to say back is our least favorite body part to train.

Which body part is your best in your opinion?
We think our legs are the best.

If you don’t mind would you give me some stats (best lifts and some body measurements)?
Our arms are 13.5 inches. We are almost five nine. Our feet are size eleven

What do you enjoy about training for competition....what do you enjoy about the 'off season'?
We enjoy the transformation and the challenge of eating clean. It can be very hard to adjust to the way it changes back during the off season.
We enjoy eating junk food in the off season. Our favorite food is cinnamon buns covered in cream cheese icing.

Please describe a typical day in the life of Terri & Tiffany.
We get up at 6:45. Eat at 7:00. Then off to work. Eat lunch together. After work we work out together then relax…and give each other a call before we go to bed.

Please tell me about what you do when you don’t work out ( hobbies, what do you do to relax?, etc.)
We are big on sitting in front of the TV and relaxing. Our favorite thing to do is sleeping in. We are night owls. Love staying up late.

What do you enjoy most about the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle?
We love the challenge. It is so hard to do. We love it when people tell us we can’t do something. It fuels our fire. Being in control of your own destiny is very powerful. There is no fate but what you make. If they can do it we can do it. Never let anyone tell you that you cannot do it.

Tell me something interesting about yourself, something people may be surprised to hear.
Tiffany is a lefty and I am a righty. Tiffany suffers from a heart condition and endometriosis and she does not let it deter her.
Growing up we were picked on quite a bit. There were days when going to school seemed scary. We were very small (short) and didn’t have a lot of friends. When all the popular girls were out having fun we were in our attic working out together. Sometimes life can be hard and the situation around you can seem dim…but if you keep your head up eventually you can be all that you aspire to be.

What are your competition goals or personal future goals?
Our ultimate goal is to make it to the Olympia.

Please note:

Terri & Tiffany do not do sessions or wrestling of any kind. Please don't ask!!
